Featured Enhancements

Accounting users now have the ability to set a Check Memo when transferring funds between Case Files at the case file level, under Case File > Financial > Transactions.

Accounting users also have an option to “Auto Apply Client Funds to Invoices”, set at the case type level, which will automatically “pay” invoices during the bill finalization if there are sufficient client funds to cover the bill, under the Administration > Lookups > Case File > Case Types.

Case File

  • Main > Settings:
    • New ability to set a Billing Rate Override at the case file-level for “All Users”.
  • Financial > Billing:
    • Added an informational footer to the Billing screen, breaking down the “Billed” selection on a case file.
    • Added the Client Funds Balance (to include a popup detailing that balance) to the Billing screen.


  • Added logic to track field changes (or audits) for specific fields on the Client’s Settings screen, under Contacts > Clients > Settings.
  • New ability to add additional “viewable clients” to the Client Portal (must be enabled by a CMP administrator) when a client logs in with their client code / online password, under the Contacts > Clients > Settings > Online / Portal tab.


  • New ability to view and load other users’ “Import Settings” (or field mappings), under Tools > Data Import > Excel Placements.
  • Added logic to tie Images imported in batch to any Activity Notes entered along with them, under Tools > Data Import > Imaging.
  • Custom Reporting:
    • Added the “Original File Name”, “Page Count” and “File Size” as Custom Reporting fields to the “Images” fieldset.
    • Added logic to Custom Reporting to slightly speed up reporting execution time.
    • Added logic to increase the timeout period on Custom Reports from 30 to 60 seconds.


  • Billing:
    • Added a filter option for the “Misc Dropdown” field (if enabled in the Company settings) when generating invoices, under Accounting > Billing > Print Bills.
    • New company setting (must be enabled by a CMP administrator) to force empty / blank invoices to be created on open files during the billing process regardless of whether or not there is billing on a Case File, under Accounting > Billing > Print Bills.
    • Added logic to save invoices to PDF during the billing / invoice finalization process, so that they can be easily accessed from the case file or accounting level, under Case File > Financial > Billing and Accounting > Billing > Open Bills / Paid Bills.
  • Checks > Import Checks:
    • Added logic to add the file number to all event log reporting within the Check Import feature.
  • Remittance:
    • New ability to export certain “ActiveReports” to Excel, such as the “Remit Hold Listing”.


  • Added the “Activity Comment” and “Activity Note” fields to the drill down grid in the User Activity report, under Administration > Reporting > User Activity.
  • New logic to populate the “Default Credit Card Account” on new clients, if populated in the Company settings, under the Administration > Setup > Company > Accounting tab.
  • Added a new File Number Method of “Year & Sequential # (Fixed Length)” which provides the next logical file number based on the referral date / year, under the Administration > Setup > Company > Advanced tab.
  • Lookups:
    • New ability to mark a Service Code as “non-billable” (must be enabled by a CMP administrator), which will force billing entries that use this code into the Non-Billable grid / table, under Administration > Lookups > Financial > Service Codes.
    • Added the ability to override the Service Code used on billing when finalizing checks, under Administration > Lookups > Financial > Trans Types / Codes.


  • Added logic to store the “New Value” in addition to the “Old Value” when tracking field changes (or audits) and redesigned the Audit view popup screen.
