Accounting Onboarding Questionnaire

Overview

Gathering this information allows us to pre-configure your CMPOnline account to match your specific financial workflows, ensuring your training session is productive and focused on your actual data. By understanding your banking and billing preferences, our specialists can tailor the system settings in advance so you can hit the ground running once your CMPOnline site goes live.

Regarding Trust accounts, we strongly recommend firms open a new Trust account before switching to CMP. To accomplish this, we recommend the following steps:

  • Open new trust account with your bank’s required minimum deposit
  • Order new QuickBooks-style checks for the new account

Prior to go-live, we also recommend the following:

  • Run remittances and issue checks on all payments in your existing system from your old trust account(s)
  • Run Trial Balance report(s) identifying any files with trust balances (Client Costs / Client Funds)
  • Reconcile your old trust account
  • Run Trial Balance and Audit reports

By doing this in advance of the conversion, it will simplify the overall trust reconciliation process as accounts once balanced in the old system can be transferred to CMP and you begin with a clean trust account.
